Join a unique tour of the Westfjords that takes you to some of the country's most iconic natural wonders, including Dynjandi, one of Iceland's most stunning waterfalls. The scenic drive takes you from Ísafjörður to the picturesque fjord trio of Önundarfjörður, Dýrafjörður and Arnarfjörður.

Dynjandi falls bears its name with pride. The name means 'The One who Thunders' in Icelandic, and you will understand why when you stand by this giant and hear the deafening roar of the water falling from the high Dynjandisheiði mountain. The voice of this waterfall can be heard throughout the fjord and up into the mountains.

You will stop for approximately one-hour by Dynjandi and enjoy its beauty and the peace of the surroundings. You can take a short walk and read about the farm that once stood there, or visit each of the smaller waterfalls that together form the waterfall Dynjandi. There will be plenty of time for an easy hike to the symmetric top tier of the waterfall.

The three fjords you will visit are some of the most impressive fjords in Iceland, with their steep mountains and near to no lowland. They are filled with history and Sagas from the legend of Gísli Súrsson, who fought his enemies here and became known as one of Iceland's toughest fighters. Visible from the fall is Hrafnseyri farm and church, where Jón Sigurðsson, the leader of Iceland's fight for independence was born.

Children are offered special rates, so this is a perfect family tour in which you will have plenty of opportunities to create wonderful memories in this unique landscape—and of course, you will have plenty of time to take some amazing photographs to immortalise your visit.
