Join us for a unique Golden Circle tour with a visit to the geothermal Energy Exhibition at Hellisheiði Power Plant! Intimate and comfortable experience guaranteed, as there are maximum 18 people travelling with you in a minibus.

You start from visiting the largest power plant in Iceland, “Hellisheiði”, where you will learn what makes Iceland a world leader in the use of geothermal energy. You will examine this issue in a clear and fascinating manner: not only through professional guiding but also due to modern, interactive multimedia technology used: earthquake simulator, wall displays, visual explanations, turbines presentations and much more. The admission fee is included in the price and the feature on the origin of geothermal energy is available in Icelandic, English, French, German, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese.

After the exhibition you will continue the journey to view beautiful, 80 metres wide waterfall called “Faxi”, a hidden gem of South Iceland. Then we head on wards to the classic Golden Circle route. First, you will visit overwhelming Gullfoss waterfall offering a spectacular view of the forces and beauty of untouched nature. If you are lucky, there will be stunning rainbow visible over the falls.

After Gullfoss, we stop at Geysir hot spring area, where you can experience the show of the geyser Stokkur which spouts water 30 metres (100 ft) into the air every few minutes. Here you will have time to relax and to grab something to eat and drink (lunch not included in the price), buy souvenirs and just admire surrounding nature. Restaurants offer both Icelandic and international cuisine.

The last part of the Golden Circle is Þingvellir National Park, the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in Iceland, where the history of the nation began and the oldest existing parliament in the world first assembled. In addition to its historical significance, area is famous for unusual tectonic and volcanic environment in a valley, the largest natural lake in Iceland and purity of nature. That is the place where continents meet, creating Almannagjá, canyon formed between two tectonic plates.

After this exciting day, you’ll head back to Reykjavik, having enough time to enjoy your night in the capital.

Don’t miss out on this unique and fascinating Golden Circle tour! Check availability by choosing a date.
