Trip To The Moon

Discover unique Icelandic landscapes by ATV on this thrilling excursion. This tour is exhilarating and memories of it will no doubt last for life.

You'll start the tour by driving through endless lava-fields covered with moss or snow depending on the season, where you’ll see dramatic shipwrecks, fantastic landscapes, and a wealth of sheep and horses.

You will then take a ride to the top of Hagafell Mountain where you’ll be amazed by the 360° panoramic views it offers, over the Blue Lagoon, Eldey Island and Grindavik.

You'll then head right to Reykjanes’s tip, through lava fields and past rows of volcanoes, to arrive at the oldest lighthouse in Iceland. You'll get some breathtaking views over the ocean, and stop to enjoy hot chocolate and a type of Icelandic twisted doughnut called Kleinur.

To make the tour even more fun and adventurous, you’ll reach Sandvik, a beach with endless black sand, classic of Iceland. You'll then head to a fascinating geological site, the 'bridge between the continents'. This is the only country in the world where you can see both the continents of North America and Europe out of the water, as the Mid Atlantic Rift runs throughout it. The trip will end with some thrilling up and down the roads until you return to Grindavik.

After the tour, you can be driven to the Blue Lagoon and relax there. Be aware that the admission to the Blue Lagoon is not included in this tour package, so you need to book in advance.

There is no age limit for passengers, but a driver’s license is required for the ATV driver. No experience required, your guides will gladly give you a tutorial at the beginning of the excursion.
